Seth and I graduated from BYU April 2007. Our beautiful son Simeon was born that May. I started running again in June with the encouragement of Seth and Lybi. Seth, Lybi, Laura, and their mom are the ones who really keep me running :P

Finally, I've started running again. It started out as taking a break because I was sick. Well taking a break quickly turned into habit and then before I knew it, I was actually forgetting to run! *gasp* But I did go out today and I was surprised at how good it felt. I only did a mile because it has been so long and I tried to take it easy, but my legs just didn't want to slow down. It was nice feeling.

Anyway, Laura, to answer your question, I am not going to give up running, but I'm also going to tone down my running a little bit. I plan to not run everyday of the week but to do some walking on some days. I wouldn't mind doing a race again sometime (maybe not soon, but sometime maybe before the end of the summer), but I'm not going to be one who ends up training for a half marathon or anything. More power to the rest of you but it's not for me. I just want to keep healthy but I also don't want to spend everyday limping around with sore legs. Besides, walking is really great for your heart and lungs. Yes I know running is too, blah blah blah, but I think the feeling of a good brisk walk is very under-appreciated on this site :)

Anyway, I will look through some pictures of my little guy. I should get a good one of him playing outside. He's a good exerciser too and deserves to be recognized for it :) But I do love that picture. It is an old picture but it is still one of my favorite pictures of him :)

I am glad that the running felt good. That means that you have been getting good benefit from your exercising. Heber says walking is as good for you as running, it just takes longer because it is the miles you put in not the time that makes the difference.

It helps to be a fast walker :) Though I'm pretty sure I actually can run faster than I walk. All my running has paid off if I can do that :)

I don't even like to run every day of the week! In fact, I've been reading some running books and at this stage of my running career, it's not even recommended. :) Walking is great, but after a while, I like to run because my walking muscles are tired. You could be a wogger (walker and jogger) - if only because it's a cool word. (hee, hee)

"Blah, blah, blah" -- very funny, smart aleck!
