Finally, I've started running again. It started out as taking a break because I was sick. Well taking a break quickly turned into habit and then before I knew it, I was actually forgetting to run! *gasp* But I did go out today and I was surprised at how good it felt. I only did a mile because it has been so long and I tried to take it easy, but my legs just didn't want to slow down. It was nice feeling. Anyway, Laura, to answer your question, I am not going to give up running, but I'm also going to tone down my running a little bit. I plan to not run everyday of the week but to do some walking on some days. I wouldn't mind doing a race again sometime (maybe not soon, but sometime maybe before the end of the summer), but I'm not going to be one who ends up training for a half marathon or anything. More power to the rest of you but it's not for me. I just want to keep healthy but I also don't want to spend everyday limping around with sore legs. Besides, walking is really great for your heart and lungs. Yes I know running is too, blah blah blah, but I think the feeling of a good brisk walk is very under-appreciated on this site :) Anyway, I will look through some pictures of my little guy. I should get a good one of him playing outside. He's a good exerciser too and deserves to be recognized for it :) But I do love that picture. It is an old picture but it is still one of my favorite pictures of him :) |
