Personal:

Seth and I graduated from BYU April 2007. Our beautiful son Simeon was born that May. I started running again in June with the encouragement of Seth and Lybi. Seth, Lybi, Laura, and their mom are the ones who really keep me running :P

20 minutes outside--I ran and walked for a total of 20 minutes with the snortums. I wanted to go and use the elliptical but today is garbage day and we forgot to put the garbage out last night. So I had to go back home after taking Seth to the train and put the garbage out. Then I didn't want to drive all the way back to use the elliptical.

So today I would walk for 5 minutes then run for 5 minutes, etc. until I reached the end of the loop I was running. It happened to take 20 minutes. My plan is to slowly increase the number of minutes I run and decrease the number of minutes I walk until eventually I start out with a short walking warm-up and then run the rest. I always walk from the end of our street to our house as a cool down.

BTW in case anyone was interested, Simeon's new sleep method is going well. Last night was night three. He hardly cried at all when we put him to bed (abt 5 minutes) and he slept until 5:45! Considering that we get up at 6 that is really great. He is still strongly resisting naps though.

I had a headache so we decided to walk instead of run. We almost got rained out. We were worried we were going to have to sprint back to the house to keep from getting soaked. But we only got sprinkled on a little. Fortunately the jogging stroller has a nice big cover so the snortums didn't get wet at all. He also had a blanket and warm clothes on. It's been getting a lot colder here lately.
