Personal:

Seth and I graduated from BYU April 2007. Our beautiful son Simeon was born that May. I started running again in June with the encouragement of Seth and Lybi. Seth, Lybi, Laura, and their mom are the ones who really keep me running :P

I didn't go use the elliptical this morning. Simeon hasn't been sleeping well at night for the last few weeks and this week he hasn't been taking good naps either. He used to take four 30 min naps every day and this week I've been lucky to get him to take 2 20 min naps. And he's still waking up a lot at night. And he's not eating well. It worries me so this morning I wanted him to sleep as long as he could. When I take Seth to the train I have to wake Simeon up at 6:40. This morning he only ended up sleeping until 7:10, but that is like an entire nap so I am glad he got that extra 30 minutes.

We did take a very LONG walk this morning. I didn't check the time before I left but our walk had to have been at least 40-45 minutes. I like to look at people's yards in the neighborhood. So today we walked back to the big newer houses where all the people have boats and RVs. Some people have done really nice things with their yards. Seth and I have a big strip of dirt and weeds in our backyard and we are trying to decide what we want to do with it. So I've been getting ideas. Plus it's just fun to see the pretty houses and the pretty yards.

Anyway, I will have to check the exact mileage when Seth gets home and I can use the car. I really enjoyed myself though.

NIGHTTIME:

Yes, Seth and I ran in the evening together! We were talking last night about how we feel like we don't really have a common goal. We don't feel like as much of a team as we did when we were both in school or both taking care of the baby. So we decided that we needed a goal or a project that we could work on together. Seth mentioned that he wanted to start exercising again since running to the bus yesterday nearly killed him. We decided to start running together in the evenings. We tried the Snortums in the jogging stroller again and it worked fine. He didn't jiggle at all. So I am really happy that we were able to go together. We may not make it out every night but if we can go a couple of times a week I think that would be really nice.

I think that is wonderful that you and Seth plan to exercise together! I know it has given James and I a lot of common ground/common goals. It's been really good for us. Keep up the good work and you can only get better and better. Thanks for all your sweet comments, and give the Snortums a kiss for me.

Yes, it's made our evening a lot more enjoyable. Instead of just vegging out until bedtime, we are doing more stuff together. I think it gives us a little boost of energy to get through the last few hours of the night. It's been really great.
