Seth and I graduated from BYU April 2007. Our beautiful son Simeon was born that May. I started running again in June with the encouragement of Seth and Lybi. Seth, Lybi, Laura, and their mom are the ones who really keep me running :P

Oops. Looks like I've fallen off the wagon again. Actually Simeon and I have had a cold. So I could handle some light running, but I don't want to have to take him out in the cold. Being carless is really not fun :(

Actually, I've started to get concerned about taking Simeon out jogging with me. The weather is getting cold now and it has been really windy lately. Even with a hat and a sweater and a blanket, I still feel like he's going to be cold. I'm sure he won't like that cold wind in his face. So do any of you moms have suggestions?

Simeon wouldn't take a nap so I took him out in the stroller for a walk. It was warm and that made me glad. Halfway through I was feeling like jogging and thought that I could jog the rest of the way back. A few steps reminded me that I wasn't wearing a sports bra so jogging wasn't a good idea. Still, going out for a walk was nice :)

Do you have a jogging stroller...they sell plastic thingys...official name?..they have air holes of course and they block the wind. I think we pretty much take our kids out bundled in all weather unless they are sick.

We used to have one of those "rain shields" or whatever you call them for that stroller, but we tossed it in a move. So I know you can buy one that fits that stroller. Seems like it was $20 or so.

Sorry you were sick! That is not the same thing as falling off the wagon.

Kristina, I like your new blog name! Very cool. Sorry you were feeling sick; that's a real bummer. But it's especially bad when you AND the baby are sick.

I don't know what to tell you about running with Simeon. Bundling him up good is the only thing I can think of. You oughta ask my Mom about living in Rhode Island, though. She knew many people there who felt it was so important to have fresh air that they would bundle up their babies and let them take a nap in the cold, outside air. Interesting, huh?

Russian people do that too...I believe in sunshine(fresh air?....don't know how fresh anyone's air is nowdays)....

So maybe I just have first-time mom paranoia? The funny thing is that it really isn't THAT cold here and I'm already paranoid :)
