Seth and I graduated from BYU April 2007. Our beautiful son Simeon was born that May. I started running again in June with the encouragement of Seth and Lybi. Seth, Lybi, Laura, and their mom are the ones who really keep me running :P

So I went for a walk today thinking it would help me feel motivated to do stuff. For the last week I've been really tired and lazy. It's been hard to find the motivation to get things done. So this morning I said to myself, "Self, it's a beautiful day today. I bet if you went for a walk with the snortums, you'd feel really motivated to do stuff."

Well sadly to say it didn't work :( I went for a walk and now I want to crawl back into bed and not come out :( If only the snortums would agree to that...

BTW I don't like running with a stroller. Maybe it's because Simeon's stroller/carseat combo is really heavy and hard to push. Maybe it's because I can't swing my arms and swinging your arms makes a big difference. Anyway, I think I really should start taking Simeon to Seth's parents house some mornings. Then I can get in a few real workouts every week. They aren't always home in the mornings so I will have to find out what days they are home. Running on dirt is so much better than running on pavement anyway. I miss BYU's track and treadmills :(

Your baby is ADORABLE! What a great picture. You take it easy and if you feel tired then your body is probably telling you something. Try eating enough protein if you aren't already...nursing takes a lot from you and I've found I need protein at just about every meal. (good protein...lean meats, nuts, dairy products...if you aren't allergic or eggs)

That's my nephew! What a cutie!!

I empathize with feeling "lazy" during those first few months after a baby. I think it is MUCH more likely to be lack of sleep than laziness in your case. I know I felt that way, though, especially before I developed the art of making a schedule for myself every week. I really needed to get out and see people almost every day in order to feel like my normal self.

When I need motivation to do stuff around the house, I invite someone over for the first time. That always gets me hoppin!

Good job on your walk! BTW I think that a treadmill is a GREAT investment.

Yup, he's a cutie.

Seth and I have been looking for a used treadmill at a good price. I definitely think it would be a good investment. Then I could exercise any time of day. Anyway, we are still looking.

Anyway, thank you both for the advice/sympathy :) I think I should eat better breakfasts. I tend to skimp on breakfast when that is the most important meal of the day.
