What a sad week I've had (as far as running goes). Actually I have been using our walk-fit (non-electric treadmill thing) at home almost every day. But I still don't think I've been getting in enough miles to count. Plus I can't figure out how to hook up the mile calculating computer that goes with it. It's hard to be on it for a lot of time. It wears you out like running never could :) Anyway, I just commented on Laura's blog about the cold. And the thought occurred to me that I should pose a question for everyone. My high school CC coach / science teacher warned us against running in cold weather (below freezing). She said the cold air could hurt your lungs. I don't have the best lungs anyway so I don't want to make them worse. I guess it is not actually below freezing here most of the time, but does anyone have any thoughts on this? It seems a lot of you run in the cold and I've heard people say it's okay as long as you dress properly..... She was kind of eccentric about a lot of things. She also said if you don't drink enough water your intestines will stick together and it's really gross. She had a video. She liked to scare people with it....
