Personal:

Seth and I graduated from BYU April 2007. Our beautiful son Simeon was born that May. I started running again in June with the encouragement of Seth and Lybi. Seth, Lybi, Laura, and their mom are the ones who really keep me running :P

An amazing thing happened this morning. Yesterday it started raining after my run. It started raining as I walked out the door of Seth's parent's house and once I got Simeon in the car it started pouring (great timing). It rained most of the day. So today I drove to their house again without thinking about the rain. Well when I got out of the car and stepped in a big puddle it occurred to me that it was going to be really muddy to run on the ditch bank. And Seth's parents just cleaned their carpets yesterday. So I was thinking I could at least get a nap while I was there. Well when I walked in the house Jackie said "Guess what the elliptical just started working this morning." It really was a miracle since it's been broken since the reunion in July. So I got to run on the elliptical today. I was feeling tired. I don't even remember the last time Simeon slept all night (we aren't sure why he's not sleeping well) and this week has been especially bad. So I only did ten minutes on the elliptical. I figure that would be a little under a mile since I always start my workout walking (and I run slow). It was nice exercise though. It's good to work some different mussels now and then.

Anyway, Lybi and Laura have inspired me to get serious about my exercise again. So I really am going to make it a goal to go to Seth's parents' 4 days a week. They aren't home Wednesday mornings so I will take the Snortums for a walk. I really want to try to get Seth to go for walks with me on Saturdays, but so far that has been unsuccessful. Something always comes up to distract us. So that is my new goal. We'll see how next week goes.

Today was also pretty amazing because I got to take a 2 hour nap while Jackie held the baby. I really needed that. Naps make me happy :)
